The QHF is located in the restored historic Marie Webster House -- designer, early 20th century entrepreneur, and author of first book solely dedicated to the history of the quilt.

Historic House

A restored 19th century physician's residence. House began as one room in 1841 and grew to 7 bedrooms by 1860. Complete restoration including historic gardens completed in March 2005. Interpreted period decor is 1870-1885.

The private collection of Dr. Peter C. Kesling has been displayed for years at the The Door Prairie Auto Museum. With Dr. Kesling retirement, the museum is no longer operating as an independent museum collection.
