Description

Dedicated to preserving quilting heritage, the museum holds three major exhibitions a year featuring antique and contemporary quilts from Virginia and the mid Atlantic area. Children's hands-on room, plus women of the Civil War era's quilts displayed.

The museum LIBRARY has a large collection of books and magazines that cover a wide range of quilting subjects from its history to how-to books. From comprehensive histories to local histories, from applique to patchwork, the museum library can assist in your research needs or your curiosity. Access to the library is free for members or $5 a day for non-members.
