We are generally available for PRIOR appointments late mornings & early afternoons on weekdays; late Saturday mornings; and Sunday afternoons from 2pm until 4pm. Please make an appointment well in advance (at least a week ahead of time) so as to avoid disappointment.
For tours of the Museum, admission fees are generally $5/person, unless otherwise arranged. Cash or checks will be received the day of the tour. No credit cards, please.
The Great Hall displays slavery & civil rights documents along with art of the African Diaspora -- all presented against the backdrop of American history. The push for freedom via the Underground Railroad is discussed alongside the achievements and contributions of African Americans. The first floor gallery spaces are divided thematically and the lower level includes a resource library and meeting space for lectures, presentations and videos.
To display the significant contributions that African/African Americans have made in the building of America.

The Great Hall is wheelchair accessible. Limited parking is available at the Museum. Additional parking is available across the street at the Ross Boddy Community Center.
