History

The Chihuahuan Desert Research Institute is a 507-acre natural area near Ft. Davis, Texas. The Institute features a 30-acre arboretum, cactus and succulent greenhouse, two miles of nature trails, a special events center/outdoor classroom, and a gift shop.

Library, publication design and layout, research, and administrative offices are all located here. Those offices are open all year, Monday through Friday, 9:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.
