Description

Heritage Park Museum is a newly built recreation of the original 1840's Martin Murphy, Jr. State Historical Landmark House. Museum exhibits include the Ohlone Indians, Murphy artifacts and archives, agricultural re-known history, and into our massive transformation into the high-tech center of the Silicon Valley today. We also operate a first class children's history program to all local schools.

History

Sunnyvale Historical Society was formed in 1959 and opened the new Heritage Park Museum in 2008.

Artifact Collections

Research Collections

Collections run from the 1600's Ohlone Indian artifacts, mid 1800's early pioneer artifacts and furnishings, early agricultural tools and implements, to high-tech beginnings.

Programs

Children's history classes geared towards third and fourth grade levels. adult historical lectures and programs offered quarterly. gallery tours offered on all open hours. Continuous docent training.
